Why it's the smart pick
If you don’t need a tilting rack to reach into the boot, the TwinBuzz is hard to beat: one smart modular platform that switches between four carrying concepts, built to BuzzRack’s usual exemplary standard at a price that undercuts them all.
Four configurations
"Family": four bikes. "Minimalist": two bikes. "Mixed": two bikes plus a platform with its bag. "Cargo": a full luggage platform. Every conversion takes seconds and needs no tools — just clamping wheels.
Self-securing fit
Place it on the tow ball and it supports itself while you spin the knob tight and lock it. Built to the exacting XP R18-904-4 standard with an integrated anti-sway tensioner.
Bikes & gear, gently held
360° rotating, rubber-padded cradles hold any tube firmly but gently - entirely suitable for carbon frames. The 100% waterproof 60 L bag attaches with two straps.
Locks to the car
The patented conical fitting locks the carrier to any 50 mm tow ball — even bolt-on ones — and a built-in cable secures your bikes.
Fitted in moments
When you first place the TwinBuzz on the tow ball it supports itself — you can let go and it won’t fall to the ground. Take the weight again, spin the tightening knob until it’s firm, and lock it. The anti-sway tensioner’s integrated handle needs two or three turns at most.
Lighting sorted either way
The integrated lightboard comes as a 7-pin or a 13-pin system — 4- or 6-function lights. For Australia and New Zealand there’s a 3-function 7-pin flat plug, and 7-pin-to-13-pin adapters are available as an option.
What it carries
- Four bikes — or two bikes plus the 60 L waterproof bag on its platform
- Most wheelbases fit — even small children’s bikes (not tandem)
- Tyres up to 3,25" wide on rubber-padded, quick-release straps
- Entirely suitable for carbon frame bikes — 360° rubber-padded cradles; longer frame straps available
- Bikes up to 20 kg each; down tubes up to 75 mm (3") diameter — load heaviest nearest the car
- Platform and bag carry up to 20 kg of cargo; without the bag, strap loads straight to the platform
- Whatever the configuration, maximum permitted load is 60 kg
- Integrated 4- or 6-function lightboard — 7-pin or 13-pin plug
- Locks to all 50 mm tow balls, including bolt-on fittings
- Requires 65 mm clearance from the tow-ball centre to the rear of the vehicle
- Not suitable for RVs, trailers or special vehicles — always check your tow bar's nose-weight limit
Tube bending, welding, rust-proofing and painting at the same exemplary standard as the rest of the range. The tow ball fitting sits high and well clear of speed bumps and ferry ramps. All the tools you might need are provided, everything locks, and every part is replaceable if someone forgets the carrier is fitted and reverses into a wall.
